The Postcard Killers Audiobook by James Patterson

THE POSTCARD KILLERS
(Unabridged)
by James Patterson and Liza Marklund
Read by Katherine Kellgren, Eric Singer and Reg Rogersy

Paris is stunning in the summer.
NYPD detective Jacob Kanon is on a tour of Europe's most gorgeous cities. But the sights aren't what draw him—he sees each museum, each cathedral, and each cafe through the
eyes of his daughter's killer.
The killing is simply marvelous.
Kanon's daughter, Kimmy, and her boyfriend were murdered while on vacation in Rome. Since then, young couples in Paris, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, and Stockholm have been found dead. Little connects the murders, other than a postcard to the local newspaper that precedes each new victim.
Wish you were here.
Now Kanon teams up with the Swedish reporter, Dessie Larsson, who has just received a postcard in Stockholm—and they think they know where the next victims will be. With relentless logic and unstoppable action, THE POSTCARD KILLERS may be James Patterson's most vivid and compelling thriller yet.

My Thoughts:
This book was ok. Jacob is on the hunt for what the media has dubbed the Postcard Killers. His daughter was one of their victims and now he can't rest until they are caught and brought to justice. In Sweden, he meets newspaper columnist Dessie Larsson, they work together to bring the killers down and after several mishaps, manage to convince the local police of a plan that must work!
Honestly, I didn't really like this book. It seemed very unrealistic. Jacob is a NYPD cop who is chasing these killers around other countries and flashes his badge everywhere he goes like it is going to do him any good in another country! There really were no surprises or twists and turns, I found it to be very predictable and unoriginal. The gun shots and sirens at the end of the book were slightly startling when you are driving down the road and will have you looking in your rear view mirror! I did like all the voices from the audio book, the readers did a wonderful job.
I rate it a 2/5. I did finish it but was not impressed in the least.

Thank you to Hachette Books for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
