Notorious Pleasures by Elizabeth Hoyt

Book Description:
Their lives were perfect . . .
Lady Hero Batten, the beautiful sister of the Duke of Wakefield, has everything a woman could want, including the perfect fiancé. True, the Marquis of Mandeville is a trifle dull and has no sense of humor, but that doesn'tbother Hero. Until she meets his notorious brother . . .
Until they met each other.
GriffinRemmington, Lord Reading, is far from perfect - and he likes it thatway. How he spends his days is a mystery, but all of London knows heengages in the worst sorts of drunken revelry at night. Hero takes aninstant dislike to him, and Griffin thinks that Hero, with hercharities and faultless manners, is much too impeccable for society, let alone his brother. Yet their near-constant battle of wits soonsparks desire - desire that causes their carefully constructed worldsto come tumbling down. As Hero's wedding nears, and Griffin's enemies lay plans to end their dreams forever, can two imperfect people findperfect true love?
My Thoughts:
This book was ok. Lady Honor is engaged to the Marquis of Mandeville. She is the sister to a duke, been raised her whole life to be a lady and is completely and totally attracted to her future brother in law. She and Lord Reeding meet under 'delicate' circumstances and neither can get the other out of their mind. When Reeding's faults are brought to light, will it run Hero off or will she be drawn in even more by his rakish ways?
The author did a good job with the characters. They were believable and I really liked several of them. I completely disliked Mandeville, he was a pompous jerk! Reeding and Honor defiantly had a spark between them but I just wasn't drawn into the story or to the characters. I did like the ending of the book though, I thought it was the perfect ending.
This book was a 3/5. It was an ok read but not great.
Thank you to Hachette for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.
